For instance, you can get a small ice cream for $4, a 16-ounce shake for $6 or a slice of pie for $6.Īfter trying their banana pudding ice cream and strawberry pie, I would recommend The Sweet Spot to anyone looking for a quick treat or a nice place to sit down and celebrate with friends after finals.ALIMENT CAPPOLA, ALIMENTS MINA, BON APPETIT MEATS, CANA FOODS, CAPPOLA FOOD, CLEARVIEW TURKEY FARMS, COLD SPRINGS FARM, DEVOUR JERKY, DEVOUR MEATS, EMBALLAGES DE VIANDE HUB, EMBALLAGES LARSEN, FERME COLD SPRINGS, FLEETWOOD SAUSAGE, GREENFIELD FOOD PRODUCTS, GREENFIELD, GREENFIELD NATURAL MEATS, GREENFIELD NATURAL MEAT CO., HORIZON POULTRY, HUB MEAT PACKERS, HUB MEATS, HYGRADE FOODS, J.M.

The desserts are tasty and fresh, and the prices are reasonable for a college student’s budget (though perhaps not something to binge on every week). While Monday’s grand opening brought in a busy cohort of hungry customers, the week tapered off and The Sweet Spot is now a fairly relaxed café with moderate activity, intimate in its simplicity. Customers can enjoy a quiet atmosphere typically around lunchtime when The Sweet Spot opens for the day. With tables and booths lining a spacious room, the interior is cozy and modest. The shop is also partnered with other local confectionaries, including Glacier Ice Cream (one of my personal favorites), BitterSweets Bakery and Azucar Bakery. Although The Sweet Spot is separate from its neighbor Devour the 303, some desserts will be served at both establishments.

The dessert café also offers contemporary adult treats, including cocktails, wine, beer and boozy shakes. Offering ice cream, gelato, cake and pie slices, sundaes, milkshakes and cake pops, The Sweet Spot will have something for everyone’s tastes. Located right next door to Devour the 303 and across the way from Einstein Bagels on Evans St., The Sweet Spot is the perfect place for DU students to satisfy their sweet tooth cravings. On March 2, Denver added a new dessert café to its DU neighborhood.
